Sewing projects

I've been meaning to post these pics for quite some time. Last summer Hancock Fabric in Iowa City was going out of business (very sad). The good thing was that I was able to get some steals on some fabric for my wedding as well as my house. I bought the rest of the bolt of this cool sheer green with gold stripes. I had just enough to make curtains for our living room. It was tricky to measure it out and know I had enough to cover each window, I didn't have anything extra to work with...but I think they turned out well. It is amazing how curtains will make a place feel like home!

Those are pretty - nice job! I've always wanted to make curtains but am too nervous to invest in all that fabric. I'll have to keep my fingers crossed for a great sale.

I was scared too. After I finally got my dimensions worked out it was so easy (except for getting the sheer to lay flat).
